God does not expect any of us to be self-sufficient. There is no shame in needing help. There are times when our need will bless someone God has sent to fill that need. In God's kingdom, there is no need that is not met, there is no talent that is not used. The same God who created this world we live in has a plan for each of us, and has provided, already, for the trail we should ride. Hands and Feet was created to match the talent to the task, the excess to the need. It is my sincere belief that God wants us to share ourselves within the church and witin the community. He made each one of us to be different - special - and to fill a particular job in a particular way. Out there, somewhere, is exactly the need, task, service that you were born to do. God has also trusted us with stuff. We own it/have it/use it for a time. There is more than enough of it to go around. When we look at our lives, and our stuff, do we see purpose? Do we need to ask for help in one area so that we can focus on what God has planned for us? Are we meant to answer a need with the ability or item God has provided us? Using the yellow cards on the church-house tables, you can offer an item or service, or request one. You can also use them to refer a friend or neighbor. The ‘Man-Team' cards can also be used to place yourself on a volunteer list (you can sign up if you are a man or wo-man!). When these skills are needed, you may receive a call to help. As God's Hands and Feet, we have provided companionship for single people after surgery, hung Christmas lights, provided food to hungry families, cleared downed trees after severe weather, provided transportation, assisted families to relocate after fire, fed and sheltered homeless people, completed urgent home repairs, and provided home appliances like TV's, microwaves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers. God has more in store for us! Leader: Jerry Thomas
